Getting Started
Get up and running with GoodPostal in under 10 minutes. This guide walks you through creating your account, connecting an email sending service, and sending your first campaign.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you will need an account with at least one email sending service. GoodPostal supports SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, Postmark, SMTP2GO, and Mailtrap.
Quick Start
- 1
Create your GoodPostal account
Visit the registration page and create your account. After verifying your email you land on the dashboard, where a welcome checklist tracks your setup steps and links you straight to each one. - 2
Connect your email sending service
Navigate to Configure > Email Providers and add your service credentials. GoodPostal will verify the connection before saving. - 3
Add and verify a sender identity
Go to Configure > Sender Identities and add the name and email address your campaigns will come from. Verify it with the one-click link we email you. Campaigns cannot be sent without a verified sender identity. - 4
Import your contacts
Go to Contacts and import a CSV file, or add contacts manually. Organize them into groups for targeted sending. - 5
Create and send your first campaign
Head to Campaigns > Create Campaign. Choose a template, write your content, select your recipients, and hit send.
Dashboard Setup Checklist
The dashboard displays a welcome checklist that tracks five setup steps and links straight to the matching settings page:
- Connect an email sending service - Add your SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, Postmark, SMTP2GO, or Mailtrap credentials under Configure > Email Providers.
- Add a sender identity - The name and email address that appears as the sender, verified via a one-click email link.
- Import contacts - Upload a CSV or paste a list under Contacts.
- Create a template - Build your first email under Templates > Create Template.
- Send your first campaign - Combine the template, sender, and a contact group under Campaigns > Create Campaign.
Connecting an Email Sending Service
