GoodPostal offers discounted pricing for verified nonprofit organizations. The GoodPostal Nonprofit plan is $9.50/month, exactly half the monthly GoodPostal price, or $114/year (12 times the monthly rate).

What You Get

Verified nonprofits get the same software as the GoodPostal plan at half the software fee. Like GoodPostal, nonprofit pricing is set by how much you send, not your list size:

Eligibility

To qualify for nonprofit pricing, your organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity in the United States with a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN).

We verify your EIN against the IRS Business Master File (BMF) database. This is the same public dataset the IRS maintains for tax-exempt organizations.

How to Apply

   Create your GoodPostal account

   Register for an account. You start a 14-day trial with every feature unlocked, up to 5,000 sends and 10,000 contacts, while your verification is pending.

   Navigate to Nonprofit Verification

   Go to Billing > Nonprofit Verification in your dashboard. You can also find this under Billing in the sidebar.

   Enter your EIN

   Provide your organization's EIN in the format XX-XXXXXXX. This is the 9-digit number assigned by the IRS.

   Upload supporting documentation (optional)

   You may attach your IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter or related documentation as a PDF, JPG, or PNG (up to 10 MB). This speeds up manual review if automated verification is inconclusive.

   Submit and wait for verification

   Verification typically completes within 1 to 2 business days. You will receive an email notification when your status is confirmed.

After Verification

If you already have an active subscription when we approve you, we switch it to the nonprofit price straight away, at the same billing interval you were already on. Monthly stays monthly and annual stays annual.

The unused portion of the period you already paid for becomes a credit on your account, and that credit applies automatically to your upcoming invoices. It is not refunded to your card, and you do not need to do anything to claim it.

If you have not subscribed yet, the GoodPostal Nonprofit plan simply appears on your Billing page and you can start it whenever you are ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started as a nonprofit?

Everyone starts with a 14-day trial with every feature unlocked, up to 5,000 sends and 10,000 contacts, no card required. Submit your EIN for verification during the trial. Once verified, your workspace moves to the discounted $9.50/month GoodPostal Nonprofit plan. If your trial ends before you subscribe, your workspace becomes view-only (subscription paused); your data is kept and you subscribe to the GoodPostal Nonprofit plan to resume sending.

What if my EIN is not found in the IRS database?

If automated verification fails, upload your IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter as supporting documentation. Our team will manually review your application within 1 to 2 business days.

Can I apply for nonprofit pricing after signing up for a paid plan?

Absolutely. Navigate to Billing > Nonprofit Verification at any time. Once we approve you, your active subscription switches to the nonprofit price immediately, on the same billing interval you already have. The unused portion of your current period becomes a credit that applies to your upcoming invoices.

Does nonprofit pricing offer an annual option?

Yes. The GoodPostal Nonprofit plan is $9.50/month or $114/year (12 times the monthly rate; the two-months-free annual discount applies to the standard plan only). You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time in the Stripe Customer Portal.

What happens if our nonprofit status is revoked?

If your 501(c)(3) status is revoked by the IRS, your account will be transitioned to the GoodPostal plan ($19/mo), after notification.
